About me

I have lived in Altrincham with my family for over 20 years and throughout my career, my focus has been on teaching children with additional learning needs. I also work on behalf of the highly regarded Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, offering assessments for families who may require bursary support to access an assessment.

  • Lead Teacher for Specific Learning Difficulties in a Cheshire school

My Story

I knew from the first time I helped out in a classroom in my early twenties that I wanted to enable children with additional needs to learn well. I have worked as a mainstream primary teacher as well as a teacher in a specialist provision for children on the autistic spectrum. I have also worked with children receiving support from mental health services. My focus now is on dyslexia and I am passionate about helping learners of all abilities and backgrounds to make excellent progress and enjoy learning despite difficulties with reading and spelling.
